Care Instructions

Light: Full sun for best flowering; tolerates light afternoon shade in Phoenix, especially near heat-reflecting walls.

Water: Low to moderate water once established. Water deeply, then let the upper several inches of soil dry. Provide supplemental summer irrigation for consistent flowering; water new plants more frequently.

Soil: Well-drained soil; tolerates sandy, rocky, and alkaline soils. Avoid persistently wet soil and poorly drained clay.

Mature size: Typically 2–3 feet tall and 3–5 feet wide; may grow larger in protected locations.

Bloom: Flowers from spring through fall, often into winter in frost-protected Phoenix locations.

Evergreen / deciduous: Evergreen to semi-evergreen in mild winters; frost can cause leaf loss or stem dieback.

Growth rate: Fast during warm weather.
