Light: Full sun for best flowering; tolerates light afternoon shade in reflected-heat locations.

Soil: Well-drained soil; tolerates sandy, rocky, and alkaline soils. Avoid persistently wet soil.

Bloom: Spring through fall, often continuing into winter in frost-protected Phoenix locations.

Evergreen / deciduous: Evergreen in frost-free conditions; semi-evergreen to deciduous after cold weather, with possible stem dieback.
