Water: Deep-water regularly during establishment and fruit development, allowing the upper few inches of soil to dry between irrigations. Established plants tolerate drought, but consistent moisture produces better fruit.
Soil: Well-drained soil; tolerates sandy, loamy, and alkaline Phoenix soils. Avoid waterlogged sites and keep mulch away from the trunk.
Mature size: Typically 10–15 feet tall and wide; may grow larger if unpruned. Can be maintained smaller with selective pruning.
