Light: Full sun; light shade tolerated, but flowering and density decrease.
Water: Low water once established. Water deeply and infrequently, allowing soil to dry between waterings; provide occasional supplemental water during prolonged summer drought.
Soil: Excellent drainage is essential; sandy, gravelly, or rocky soil preferred. Tolerates alkaline soil; avoid soggy clay and heavily amended planting holes.
Mature size: Typically 3–5 feet tall and wide, depending on cultivar and growing conditions.
Bloom: Repeated flushes from late spring through fall, especially during summer monsoon humidity and after rain.
