Light: Bright filtered light or gentle morning sun with afternoon shade. Protect from intense Phoenix summer sun; acclimate gradually to brighter exposure.
Water: Let soil dry thoroughly between waterings, then water deeply and drain completely. Water sparingly in winter; never leave roots sitting in water.
Soil: Very well-drained cactus mix amended with pumice or perlite. Use containers with drainage holes.
