Light: Full morning sun with afternoon shade is ideal in Phoenix. Provide at least 6 hours of direct sun where possible; protect from intense reflected heat.
Water: Deeply irrigate, then let the upper few inches of soil dry before watering again. Water more frequently during Phoenix summers and establishment, less in winter. Wet the expanding root zone rather than just the trunk; containers need more frequent checks.
Soil: Well-drained soil; slightly acidic conditions are preferred, but alkaline soil is tolerated with nutrient management. Avoid soggy sites, keep the root flare above grade, and mulch without covering the trunk.
Mature size: Typically 10–15 feet tall and 8–12 feet wide in the ground; rootstock and pruning strongly influence size. Dwarf-rootstock trees commonly remain 6–10 feet tall.
Bloom: Main bloom occurs in spring, with intermittent flowers possible throughout the year in warm conditions. Fruit commonly takes 6–9 months or longer to mature.

Growth rate: Moderate, generally slower than nonvariegated Eureka lemons.
