Light: Full sun to light shade; afternoon shade can reduce stress in reflected-heat locations. Best flowering with at least 6 hours of sun.
Water: Moderate water in Phoenix; water deeply and allow the upper several inches of soil to dry between irrigations. Established plants tolerate some drought, but regular summer irrigation supports flowering.
