Light: Morning sun with afternoon shade; bright filtered light during extreme summer heat. Avoid reflected heat from west-facing walls and pavement.
Water: Moderate, consistent moisture; water deeply when the top 1–2 inches of soil dry. Containers may need frequent watering during Phoenix summers. Reduce watering in winter and never leave roots standing in water.
Soil: Fertile, well-drained soil enriched with organic matter. For containers, use a quality potting mix with added perlite or fine bark.
