Light: Full sun; at least 6–8 hours daily encourages dense growth and abundant flowering.
Water: Low water once established. Water deeply, then let soil dry between irrigations. Young plants need more regular watering; established plants benefit from occasional deep irrigation during prolonged Phoenix heat and drought.
Soil: Well-drained sandy, gravelly, or rocky soil; tolerates alkaline desert soils. Avoid poorly drained clay and consistently wet roots.
Mature size: Approximately 3–4 feet tall and wide.
Bloom: Repeated flushes from late spring through fall, especially during warm, humid weather and the summer monsoon season.
Evergreen / deciduous: Evergreen in typical Phoenix winters; may thin or lose some foliage after unusually cold weather or severe drought.
