Aloe 'Little Gem'
Light: Morning sun with afternoon shade is best in Phoenix; tolerates more sun when gradually acclimated, but avoid intense reflected heat.
Water: Low water once established; water deeply, then let soil dry thoroughly. Provide occasional supplemental irrigation during prolonged summer heat; reduce watering in winter.
Soil: Very well-drained sandy or gravelly soil; use a gritty cactus mix in containers and avoid poorly drained clay.
Mature size: Approximately 1 foot tall and 1–2 feet wide; established colonies can spread wider through offsets. Flower stalks rise above the foliage.
Bloom: Repeated flowering, often from spring through fall; may bloom intermittently during mild winters.
Evergreen / deciduous: Evergreen.
Growth rate: Moderate in warm weather with suitable moisture and drainage.
