Light: Full sun to partial shade; afternoon shade is beneficial in Phoenix, especially near heat-reflecting walls.
Water: Moderate water; irrigate deeply and allow the upper soil to dry slightly between waterings. Water more frequently during extreme summer heat. Established plants tolerate short dry periods but bloom best with regular moisture.
Soil: Well-drained soil; tolerates clay, sandy soil, and alkaline conditions. Compost improves moisture retention in very sandy soil.
Mature size: 8–12 inches tall and 12–24 inches wide.
Bloom: Repeatedly from spring through fall, with the strongest flowering in warm weather.
