Pandorea jasminoides
Light: Morning sun with afternoon shade is ideal in Phoenix; avoid intense reflected heat from west-facing walls. Too much shade reduces flowering.
Water: Moderate water; irrigate deeply when the upper 2–3 inches of soil dry. Water more frequently during extreme summer heat and establishment, and reduce watering in winter.
Soil: Well-drained soil enriched with compost. Mulch the root zone, keeping mulch away from stems; strongly alkaline soil may cause iron chlorosis.
Mature size: 15–25 feet tall with support and 6–10 feet wide; size can be managed with pruning.
Bloom: Repeated flushes from spring through fall, with flowering sometimes slowing during extreme summer heat.
Evergreen / deciduous: Evergreen in mild winters; may lose leaves or suffer stem dieback during Phoenix freezes.
Growth rate: Moderate to fast with adequate moisture and warmth.
