Katy Apricot
The Katy Apricot is a medium growing upright deciduous fruit tree.
It is a great apricot tree for our area because it only requires 300 to 400 chill hours below 45 degrees F. That is easy to reach in our typical winter.
The Katy Apricot has large freestone fruit and produces very well. They are very flavorful and great for eating fresh or canning. They ripen around June.
This tree has nice green leaves and pink flowers and is one of the most beautiful fruit trees. It is self fertile so there is no need for two.
This description is based on our observations and research of this plant growing in our hot Arizona climate. We would love hearing from anyone who has any additional experience with this plant in Arizona. |
